IMPORTANT COMMENTS

  • David Mead, dance critic:"To grin like a Cheshire cat" was rather nicely dark at times. Just my sort of thing! The cast of five were all rather impressive as they pulled back the curtain, revealing the truth behind their laughs and smiles. (Seeing Dance, Nov, 2017)

      CHOU Chieh-mu, dance critic:

  • “ iShade” is a virtuosity of Chun-hui LIN with his choreography and physical expression.(Nov, 2015)

  • The kindness of Chun-hui LIN is his best treasure. His creative work shows not only his care about human beings and surroundings, but also humor and fun gags. Under his open-minded attitude and elaborative observation lies his determination and understanding of the world and mankind. (Taishin Arts awards, Nov, 2012)

  • So Fun, Very Nice! The most successful part for “Lively Night Market” is that it is fun and realistic, critical and poetic alienated at the same time. The young choreographers did not try to justify the movements. It thoroughly probes into the theme and honestly presents the observations which are close to our daily life. (PAR Magazine, Nov, 2011)

  • Elitsa Vasileva, blogger and journalist:Beautiful, insipid Asian bodies and faces draw with a dance and pantomime multi-layered, critical and emotional picture of our time, sank into social, political and ecological problems. Their movements are extremely graceful and airy, unfolding between classical ballet and tango to elements of ancient Asian martial arts. Their bodies, with an innate pursuit of perfection and precision, tell us about the cruelty of corporate reality, the loss of identity and truth.(Jun, 2017)

  • Penka Kalinkova, theatre critic:The surprise of "IShade" is the combination of impeccably crafted dance techniques - from kung fu and tango to contemporary dance, with themes from topical social issues.(Jun, 2017)

      The Skinny ★★★★

  • The troupe seamlessly fuse traditional elements with circus-style acrobatics and more contemporary dance styles. (Aug, 2014)

      The Herald ★★★★

  • As plastic balloon-eggs rise, like wishes and red eggs roll across the stage, the genuine charm of this piece leaves you smiling. And that's a blessing during the pell-mell days of Fringe-ing.(Aug, 2014)

  • Diane Baker, journalist:Barbecue At Home encapsulates the strains of modern family life…, the dancers all did well, and judging by the audience’s reactions, the piece obviously hit home for many.(Taipei Times, Nov, 2013)
